September 9, 16, 23 and 30th for Grades 3-8, Cost $50 Come join the fun while learning basketball fundamentals and teamwork at the Rio Fall Basketball Academy with the University of Rio Grande men's and women's basketball programs. This league features boys and girls in two divisions - a senior division (10ft. goals) of sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students and a junior division (9ft. goals) of third, fourth and fifth grade students. The league will offer instruction in team concepts and a controlled game atmosphere. Each team will receive coaching instruction from the University of Rio Grande men's and women's basketball players. The Rio Fall Basketball Academy will be conducted on four Sundays starting September 11th at Newt Oliver Arena. The Academy will have two sessions boy's 2:00-4:00 p.m. and girl's 4:00-6:00p.m. Cost is $50.00 per player and can be mailed to the basketball office in advance or paid at the first Sunday.
